surrender to gravity

In this class we take the time to surrender to gravity. Passive postures are held for long periods of time (3-5 minutes) while you relax the muscles. In this way we encourage a deep and safe opening of ligaments, joints and even bones. This creates flexibility and suppleness to the deeper layers of the connective tissue in the body, which allows energy to flow free again, it detoxes the body and leaves you in a relaxed state of body and mind.

move on the rhythm of the breath

In this gentle yet in-depth practice, we use the rhythm of the breath to connect a sequence of movements and asanas (postures) fluidly together. This increases flexibility and strengthens our entire body and at the same time it releases tension and increases vitality. It brings our body, mind and spirit into a state of harmony and balance.

Bhagavad Gita

In April 2020, I got back from a 6-months’ travel adventure to Bali and West-Australia.  It has been a wonderful journey. I met so many beautiful people, visited beautiful places and was given the amazing opportunity to teach yoga on a Tropical Island in the sun.

The practice of yoga and meditation has become a very important part of my life. I love to start my day with yoga. Each practice gives me joy and makes me feel powerful from within. The practice to be more connected to myself silences the mind and it makes me feel energized and relaxed at the same time.

A few years ago yoga became even more important when I found myself in an imbalanced work-life situation. At that time I signed up for my first Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training at “De Nieuwe Yoga School” in Amsterdam. The moment I started this training I knew I wanted to become a yoga teacher and share these beautiful experiences with the world. After graduation I quit my corporate job and started teaching yoga full time. I am a 500+ hrs certified Vinyasa and Yin Yoga teacher and have taught over a thousand hours of (private)yoga at various yoga schools, gyms, multinationals, and yoga retreats all over the world.

With all my experiences, I started my own Online Yoga School during lockdown.

I offered different styles of yoga at various times during the week and all classes are taught via Zoom.

Now the world opened up again and I am teaching live at De Nieuwe Yogaschool (

in company and private yoga,  as well as retreats.

During these classes I always invite you to turn your focus inwards to become more aware of your breath and the sensations in your body.

My main focus will always be love and compassion for yourself. Each class will be different, soft and relaxing in a Yin Yoga class and more active in the Gentle Flow. Both classes will end with a final relaxation so we will leave the mat with a more relaxed body and quiet mind.

I am looking forward to seeing you on the mat and to share my passion for yoga with you.

Lots of love
